The average tenure for a CIC employee today is more than a decade, with a majority holding advanced degrees and articulating comfort with living in Venezuela. At CIC, the initial employment contract is for two years for overseas teachers and one year for local hires. Salary and benefits are consistent with schools in the region. Candidates with passports from all countries are considered if their English and pedagogical skills are of the appropriate caliber.

The Hiring Cycle at CIC begins January for the following school year (August), and CIC representatives attend various recruiting fairs internationally each year. Additional private interviews are scheduled in Caracas, the New York City/Philadelphia Area, and online.
