welcome to cic!

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Colegio Internacional de Caracas (CIC), and the entire school community, I welcome you to CIC’s webpage.  CIC is a PN-12, private, non-profit, co-educational day school which offers a college preparatory curriculum in English anchored by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP) which provide all students with a rigorous academic experience, and a student-centered approach with notably caring relationships between teachers and students. All this leads our students towards meeting US High School graduation requirements and earning admissions into the best universities in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Colegio Internacional de Caracas is fully accredited by Cognia and is an authorized International Baccalaureate World School. Additionally, the School is a member of the American International Schools in the Americas (AMISA, formally known as AASSA).

At CIC, we place great importance on academic rigor and on the social and emotional development of our students. I invite parents to work together as partners in the process of educating your children, please engage in the learning process and be part of this learning community.

This 2021-2022 will be a dynamic school year which will require adaptability, creativity, and resilience from all the school community members; valued skills in such a challenging time like the one we are living worldwide. Whether we are online or on-campus, our faculty and staff members are committed to high academic standards, the safety of our community members, and our continuous school improvement process. Therefore, we will deliver the best educational experience for our students in spite of the challenges.

Finally, as an international school, we embrace diversity and multiculturalism and welcome students from Venezuela and around the world. Take your time to navigate CIC’s web page and feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.

Warmest regards,

Gustavo A. Sever, MAEd
